20 minutes
4 grids 8 by 8. Ladders, hurdles, cones and mannequins/poles.
2 touch in boxes Keep playing till coaches demand/whistle then rotate 4 sets of 4 minutes After every defending team switches to another team
Can not change till or 4 defenders win the ball back Once each team has completed one full circuit then the defending team switches
Encourage teams to keep playing and have balls on the outside to keep the tempo high. If not done correctly then they do another circuit (i.e ladders not done correctly, not sprinted full length of box ect)
30 minutes
4 activities each team does each activity once Sprint relay - Poles/mannequins Ladders - Ideally four ladders, if not use cones 2 v 2 - 1 mini goal and cones 4 v 4 - 2 mini goals on a small game
Players play for 6 minutes then have a 1 minute rest as they move around to the next circuit activity
Sprint relay-Can add in balls or bibs to use as batons Ladders-Vary the type of movement through the ladders 2 v 2-Defending team shoots in a mini 4 v 4-If some0ne shoots they have to run around a corner flag before coming back (Recovery runs)
Decrease/increase time on each activity to 4-8 minutes Decrease/increase rest time to 30 seconds/2 minutes
20 minutes
4 sets of 4 minutes with a 1 minute rest between each set
Distances of relay activities and big square for sprints
Use balls Make it a competition with teams Increase time of set/rest time
SAQ intense exercises, coaches to push players constantly to keep work rate level high Competition likely to improve player intensity
15 minutes
Two big goals Hurdles, poles/mannequins, cones 3 sets of minutes 2 minute rest after first set, then 1 minute rest then 30 second rest 2 GKs
Coaches set players for shot Players MUST keep running throughout unless someone is close in front of them
Vary types of finishes Vary movement in ladders/hurdles Competition for amount of goals scored
May need to set two up if numbers are very big Think about distances to goals ect Potentially set up two of the sessions and make a competition of who can score the most goals
15 minutes
3 sets of 4 minutes with a 1 minute rest between each one Rotate defenders after each set Hurdles/poles/mannequins/two big goals
Pass on two touch must be accurate for practice to run smoothly Quick turnover after each 1 v 1
Make it a 2 v 1 for player who runs over hurdles/ladders? Competition by whichever group of defenders concede the most they do a forfeit
Intensity on sprinting must be high and needs to run continuously so each 4 minute set is intense and tough
20 minutes
Two big goals Bibs and cones
Once ball is dead next three start Underlap/Overlaps
Add overload/underloads
Intensity really key Make it competitive with a score line Forfeit for losers
25 minutes
Half pitch layout Bibs, two big goals
Red players in initial combine and finish must go out the box after 2nd/3rd finish to attack ball in box Greys players to attack fast on transition, runners in behind/overlap/underlap
Make it a 6 v 4 on transition with grey team Or make it a 6 v 4 with reds after greys attack
Competitive, give both teams a chance at attacking and defending
